CENTER PARCS
The Phase 2A extension at Center Parcs Longford Forest comprises the construction of 83 new holiday lodges within the existing forest resort. The development involves timber-framed accommodation units designed to integrate with the surrounding woodland environment.
Work on the project commenced on 6th May 2025 and is scheduled for completion in Q4 2026.
In addition to the installation of the 83 lodges, Connaught also undertook the groundworks package for a new Restaurant facility onsite at Center Parcs to support increased visitor capacity as part of the wider Phase 2 expansion.
Connaught were contracted to carry out a comprehensive civil engineering and groundworks package, including:

Enabling Works – installation of all haul roads, site compounds and chainlink fencing circa 3,000m.

Site preparation and clearance.

De-Watering systems for lifecycle of the project.

Bulk earthworks and excavation, including the excavation and onsite disposal of circa 14,000m³ of peat and stabilised material.

Concrete and foundation works, incorporating circa 3,700m³ of concrete.

Foul and storm drainage installation – circa 9,000m.

Watermain installation – circa 2,500m.
-
Electrical infrastructure installation – circa 4,000m.

Riverbed cleaning and overpumping works, carried out in conjunction with Inland Fisheries requirements.

Design and installation of gabion baskets for a Clear Water Vault.

Assistance with soil stabilisation works across the development.

Installation of pedestrian bridges.

Assistance with direct-buried cable and substation works.

Paving and hard landscaping works.

Soft landscaping and site reinstatement.
All associated works were done to the highest quality of works while maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental issues on-site.
